London Region
London's busy, heavily populated region means lots of work for Casualties Union.  Every day there are many first aid classes and practice sessions, all crying out for trained casualties to work on.  New recruits are urgently needed, for only a dozen of London Branch's 30 members are available during the working week, which is when we are most in demand.

Many of our clients are companies organising First Aid At Work courses, where we present the examination candidates with a realistic casualty on whom to demonstrate their skills for the assessor.  The London Fire Brigade keeps us busy, training fire-fighters to extricate crash victims from cars, as well as their first aid assessments.  Department stores use us to test their emergency call-out procedures and first aid teams.  Then there are exercises at hospitals, airports and multiple car crash accidents, all involving dozens of our members from throughout London and neighbouring regions, and demanding a wide variety of injury make-up and acting skills.  The value of realism in training police, ambulance and fire personnel is recognised by everyone who sees us in action at these important training events.

London Branch holds meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 18.00 to 20.00 in the Holborn area.  New members will be warmly welcomed.  Please ring Caroline Thomas, London Regional Director on:
