A group of enthusiasts may form a Casualties Union Study Circle anywhere in the world to learn the technique from written instructions in the absence of a Casualties Union qualified instructor.  Such a circle consists of up to twenty probationers with a leader.  The course is run on a portfolio system and the cost is made up of an affiliation fee for the group and an individual enrolment fee for each student, which includes training literature and insurance coverage whilst acting as a casualty.
